Fabrizio Canfora
Fabrizio Canfora was born in Naples, Italy in the 1977. He took his master degree in the University Federico II of Naples in the year 2000. Then, he moved to the Salerno University where he took his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Gaetano Vilasi on December 2003. He got his first postdoctoral position at the University of Salerno in January 2004. His interests are black holes thermodynamics and the possible physical consequences of the presence of extra dimensions on the dynamics of the gravitational field in four dimensions. He is also interested in the microscopic interpretation of non extensive entropies. He moved to Centro de Estudios Cientificos on November 2006. Since 2007, he also developed a new approach to analyze discrete models in statistical mechanics, such as the Ising and the Potts models, using techniques from high energy physics.
