David Tempo
David Tempo was born in Venezuela and studied physics at the Universidad de los Andes, where he received his B.Sc. degree in Physics in 2005. In 2006 he went to Chile and enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Physics at the Universidad de Concepción and then he joined the Theoretical Physics Laboratory at CECs. He received his Ph.D. in 2010, under the supervision of Prof. Ricardo Troncoso. In his doctoral thesis, he studied the behavior of gravitation and matter fields in spacetimes with nontrivial asymptotic structure. After his Ph.D. he joined CECs as postdoctoral researcher until 2014, when he moved to Belgium for his second postdoctoral position at Université Libre de Bruxelles. At the end of 2015, David returned and joined as researcher at CECs.

His research interests include the study of General Relativity and its possible extension in diverse dimensions, as well as the black hole physics.
